mo.co goes back to beta

Hello, hunters!

Recently, we shared with you that:

• mo.co is not performing as well as we hoped

• it will need big changes to achieve mass appeal

• we believe in the game and have lots of ideas in the bag

With that in mind, we decided that the best way to keep iterating and testing out new features is to take a step back and return to a BETA development stage.

mo.co as it is will run on low maintenance. This means:

• We won’t release new weapons in the following seasons.

• Seasonal passes won’t have a premium track or weapons.

• Elite Merch will repeat Seasons 1 to 4 cosmetics.

• Content will be recycled from previous seasons.

• Premium cosmetics will be limited.

In the meantime, we’ll release experimental content that may only be available for a limited time. Our goal is to release updates more frequently and reduce the wait between them. We haven’t confirmed a date for the next update yet, but we’re aiming to launch it before the end of 2026.

While we have no plans to reset your Cosmetics or Collector Levels, we’re still evaluating how future changes might affect non-cosmetic progress. This may include Weapons, Cores, and Career Level. We’ll only reset progress if absolutely necessary, as future versions of the game may have a very different progression loop.

At the moment, we don’t yet have details on how progress may be affected, but we’ll keep you updated once we know more.

It may feel like it, but as the saying goes, sometimes you need to take one step back before taking two steps forward. One frequent piece of feedback we hear from our players is how long it took us to revamp the game into neo mo.co, or to bring meaningful updates. We hear you, and that’s something we’re hoping to improve.

A new team setup for beta testing will allow us to iterate faster, test things out with you earlier, hear your feedback, and keep improving. We may not be exactly where we wanted to be at this point, but it’s an exciting period ahead for us, and we can’t wait to share with you new ways to hunt monsters.
