A new era of monster hunting has arrived! mo.co is back with a fully reworked experience, and more ways to hunt than ever!

Here’s everything you need to know before jumping back into the portal.


Weapons

We've moved from customizable builds to fully equipped Weapons. Each Weapon is now its own class, coming with a pre-defined set of skills. Collect them all, grab your favourite and master your Weapon of choice.

Speedshot

Ranged Damage

With Speedshot you can fire piercing arrows in a straight line, damaging all enemies in their path.

Abilities:

  • Dash (2.5s): Dash forward to dodge incoming attacks

  • Cold Snap (4s): Release piercing ice arrows that slow enemies, great for crowd control

  • Rain Supreme (10s): Launch a volley of explosive arrows that deal area damage on impact

  • Comeback (12s): Heal yourself over time

Head Banger

Melee Damage

Smash the ground dealing area damage at close range.

Abilities:

  • Crash Boom Bang: Charges Medicinal Mosh on hit. After 3 hits, unleash a Big Bang that deals more damage and heals per enemy hit. Larger enemies heal more

  • Pit Clearer (2.5s): Dash forward hitting enemies, charging Medicinal Mosh. Larger enemies charge more

  • Pogo Thrash (5s): Leap forward and deal area damage on landing. Area damage is automatically dealt to enemies in front of your path

  • New Wave (10s): Smash the ground to send a long-range shockwave that damages and stuns enemies. Simultaneously charges Medicinal Mosh. Larger enemies charge more

  • Medicinal Mosh (no cooldown - charge-based): Charged by Crash Boom Bang, Pit Clearer, and New Wave. When fully charged, spin wildly to deal area damage and heal per enemy hit. Larger enemies heal more. Grants immunity to stuns, slows, and pushbacks while active

Lava Shield

Tank

Strike with your lance to deal area damage at close range.

Abilities:

  • Burst (2.5s): Dash forward dealing area damage to enemies ahead

  • Magma Plume (6s): Emit a protective shield that blocks all damage. When it expires, it explodes, stunning nearby enemies and dealing area damage

  • Holoscream (9s): Taunt all enemies to focus their attacks on you

  • Ring of Fire (no cooldown, charge-based): Charges when you receive hits from enemies, larger enemies charge more. When fully charged, heal yourself and deal area damage around you, pushing back and stunning nearby enemies

  • Shield: reduces damage taken by 25%

Vibe Shifter

Healer

Heal yourself and allies or damage enemies at long range.

Abilities:

  • Good Vibes (no cooldown). After 7 hits, unleash a 360 spin that restores bonus health. Combo charge is shared with Bad Vibes

  • Bad Vibes (no cooldown): Damage enemies at long range. After 7 hits, unleash a 360 spin that deals bonus damage. Combo charge is shared with Good Vibes

  • Dash (2.5s): Dash forward quickly

  • Downward Spiral (8s): Spin on the spot dealing area damage, pushing back and slowing all enemies hit

  • Circle of Love (16s): Summon a pet flower that continuously heals you and all nearby allies

Techno Fists

All-Rounder

Fire pulses based on your active tempo.

Abilities:

  • Strong Pulse (no cooldown): Attacks and combos change based on your active tempo. Switching tempo does not reset the combo bar

  • Dash (2.5s): Dash forward quickly

  • Monster Beat (3s): Grants a temporary movement speed boost to you and nearby allies. Fire blue pulses that bounce between enemies up to 3 times. After 7 hits, fire a Mega Pulse that stuns, deals bonus damage, and bounces up to 10 times

  • Wicked Solo (3s): Grants a temporary attack speed boost to you and nearby allies. Fire red pulses dealing heavy damage to a single enemy. After 7 hits, fling a Mega Pulse that stuns and deals bonus damage to your target

  • Healing Harmony (3s): Heal yourself and nearby allies. Fire green pulses that heal you and the closest ally. After 7 hits, fling a Mega Pulse that heals more

Zapsicle

Melee Damage

Swing to deal area damage at close range.

Abilities:

  • High Voltage: After 3 hits, unleash a supercharged swing that damages a larger area and electrifies all enemies hit

  • Bolt (3s): Dash forward electrifying all enemies in your path. Immune to all damage while dashing

  • Certified Zapper (6s): Fire a shocking bolt that electrifies the nearest enemy, spreading to up to 4 nearby enemies

  • Spider Lightning (3s - shared with Shock Therapy): Transform into a ball of lightning that travels between electrified enemies, dealing damage and removing electrification. Immune to all damage while transformed

  • Shock Therapy (3s - shared with Spider Lightning): Remove electrification from all enemies, healing yourself for each one. Larger enemies heal more

  • Electrify: Reduces enemy movement speed for 5 seconds

Venom Bow

Ranged Damage

Shoot long-range venomous arrows that damage enemies over time.

Abilities:

  • Infect: After landing 4 hits, your next attack shoots a volley of 3 piercing venomous arrows.

  • Dash (2.5s) : Quickly dash forward.

  • Lethal Dose (4s) : Instantly deal extra damage to all envenomed enemies and renew their venom for 6 more seconds. The venom then spreads to nearby enemies.

  • Purge (10s) : Remove venom from all enemies, dealing heavy damage and stunning them.

  • Antidote: Each time an enemy takes venom damage, your Antidote skill charges up. Larger enemies charge it more. When fully charged, use this skill to fully heal yourself.

  • Venom: Each time an enemy takes Venom damage, your Antidote skill will charge up. Stronger enemies charge your skill more. 


Weapon Sprints

mo.co’s Season Pass will feature three progress tracks: Weapon Sprints. Collect Chaos Energy (previously known as XP) to level up and unlock rewards, including its corresponding Weapon. Choose one of three Weapon Sprints at the start of the season, then unlock a new Sprint after finishing the previous one.

Sprint Rewards:

Besides the Weapon, you can also earn: 

  • Merch Credits to spend in the Shop

  • Gestures, emotes, and sprays

  • Outfits

  • Upgrade Cores

  • Badges and Metrics for your profile

  • mo.gold

  • Premium rewards (by purchasing the pass): Weapon skin and premium cosmetics

  • and… P.E.R.Ks

P.E.R.Ks

P.E.R.K.s, used to pull random rewards, can be earned from Weapon Sprints. Each P.E.R.K earns one random item, with rarer items having a lower drop rate.

This season's prize pool includes:

  • Venom Bow & Zapsicle (Weapons)

  • Upgrade Cores (various tiers)

  • mo.gold

  • Merch Credits

Final Stretch

Complete all Weapon Sprints to unlock an extra progress track - the Final Stretch, where the most dedicated hunters can earn extra rewards.


Upgrade Cores

Upgrade Cores provide a power boost to your weapon of up to 20%. Each Weapon has unique abilities that can be upgraded using specific Upgrade Cores.

  • There are 8 Upgrade Core types, each with a different boost.

  • Upgrade Cores can be obtained from defeated monsters, Weapon Sprints, and P.E.R.Ks

  • Fuse cores to reach the next tier and get bigger buffs:

    • 20x Semi-Charged → 1x Charged

    • 10x Charged → 1x Overcharged

    • 5x Overcharged → 1x Megacharged

  • You can either fuse for the same core type or go for a random one.

  • Equipped cores can only be replaced by higher-tier Upgrade Cores.

Damage Core: Increases damage dealt by you and your pets

Critical Damage Core: You and your pets gain a chance to deal 3x more damage

Attack Speed Core: Increases the speed of your main attack

Cooldown Core: Shortens your skill cooldown

Healing Core: Increases healing done by you and your pets

Healing Received Core: Increases all healing received by you and your pets

Max Health Core: Increases maximum healing for you and your pets

Dodge Core: Grants a chance to evade enemy attacks


Seasons

The Portal now features seasonal rotating content. Seasons are month-long content cycles with three types of content:

Weekly Contracts (Rifts)

  • Rifts and Score Hunts rotate weekly           

  • Beat time goals to earn Elite Merits

  • Improve your time to earn extra Elite Merits and climb the leaderboards

Expeditions

  • Multiple Expeditions available at a time

  • Expeditions rotate, keeping the selection fresh

  • Several Jobs available per expedition

Weapon Dojos

  • Train with specific Weapons in dedicated Dojos

  • Unlock a Weapon to access its Dojo

  • There are three difficulty levels per Weapon Dojo


Score Hunt!

Score Hunt is a new game mode that challenges you to hunt monsters and collect points before the timer runs out. Bigger monsters drop more points. Hit the point goals to earn Elite Merits.


Elite Hunter Path

Collect Elite Merits to unlock rewards along the Elite Hunter Path. Earn Elite Merits by completing Elite Contracts and Dojos. Accumulate them to progress along the Elite Hunter Path and claim rewards. The more you collect, the higher you climb on the seasonal leaderboards.

Elite Merch Credits

Elite Merch Credits are used to purchase Elite Merch from the shop. You can earn Elite Merch Credits from the Elite Hunter Path.

Leaderboards

Every season will feature Global, Local (country) and Friends leaderboards. Besides this, every Rift, Score Hunt and Dojo will have a dedicated leaderboard.

Improve your time to climb the leaderboards and become the world's best monster hunter.


Profile Customization

You can now customize your profile to showcase your achievements with flair.

Customize with:

  • Title

  • Badges

  • Metrics

  • Banner

  • Gesture

Your emblem is made up of three parts:

  • The number inside the emblem represents your current season level

  • The base below reflects your Elite Hunter Path badge upgrades

  • The frame around it represents your Career Level

    • Career Level is the total number of levels you've achieved over all Seasons

Your Career Level, Elite Merits, and Collector Level are also displayed on your profile.


Rooftop HQ

Hang out on the Rooftop HQ, our new shared social space to team up, gear up, and unwind with other hunters.

Utilities

  • Access the Shop, Wardrobe, Weapons, and Upgrade Cores

  • Practice with your Weapons to sharpen your skills

  • Jump into the Portal to kick start your hunt

Social & Activities

  • Team up and chat with other players

  • Play football with fellow hunters

  • Talk to Ellie for gameplay information or just to say hi :)

Atmosphere

  • Turn on the radio and pick your favorite mo.beats

  • Watch out for special guests dropping by


Social Feature Changes

Emote Wheel

The emote wheel is now available for faster expression in the field. Access it by swiping from the center of the screen or tapping the emote button in the right side panel.

Sprays

  • Sprays are a new form of social cosmetic in addition to emotes and gestures. Tag the ground with your spray for other hunters to see.

Text Emotes

  • Text emotes are now available for quicker communication with fellow hunters. Access the emote wheel by dragging on the screen or tapping the emote icon.

Teams & Friends Updates

  • Players can now team up for Expeditions, in addition to Rifts and Dojos

  • Friends and Chat Groups can now be sorted by name or last online for easier navigation

Revival Mechanic 

  • Players can now help revive each other when defeated in battle. Stand over a defeated player to help bring them back faster.

Try Again button

  • You no longer have to return to the Rooftop HQ and re-enter the Portal if you wish to give a Dojo or a Rift another try. After your run ends, you can tap the Try Again button to start again.

moChat 

  • Follow Luna, Jax, and Manny's conversations in the new moChat channel. This is available in the chat tab. Stay in the loop on what's happening in the world of mo.co.


Gameplay Changes

Several gameplay systems have been reworked to improve overall combat flow

  • Visual red warning areas indicating monster attacks have been removed

  • Combat has been made more responsive and fast-paced, allowing for more precise, skill-based dodging of enemy attacks


What's Gone

Builds → Weapons

  • Custom loadouts have been removed

  • Each Weapon now comes with a fixed set of skills

Gear Power Progression → Upgrade Cores

  • Replaced by Upgrade Cores for a small boost

  • More balanced leaderboards 

Chapters → Seasons

  • The Chapter system has been replaced by Seasons

  • Monthly rotating content cycles with more variety and structure

Apartment → Rooftop HQ

  • The Apartment has been replaced by the Rooftop HQ

  • A bigger, shared social space with more to do


It’s been a long ride, and we hope the wait will be worth it.

This update marks a new era for mo.co. We’re excited to finally share it with you! We’ll continue refining the experience, improving what’s already there, and building on it with future updates.
